The battle Iwo Jima was a battle on the Pacfic front for and Island in the Pafic with the U.S and the Japanse Empire. The island contained two airfields. This battle was the only battle were the Marines Corps cuasilties exceed the Japanses Empires cuasilties. The Japanses had heavily dug in to the Island with fortifications. Furnishinngs during worlds war 2 were very simple and dull becuase of the rationed supplies the furnushings could not be as extravagant as they were pre war.
