Women during WW2 were the house wives and the factory workers with the men off fighting the war. The womens land army was an organization created during World War 1. They did the jobs of the young men on the fsrm while the men were fighting the war. There is a memorail called the womens mitary service for america memorial.
A historical media event was when women had there own PROFFESIONAL baseball league made to keep baseball alive while the men were over seas. It had gotten so much attention that they made a movie abuot it call "The League of their Own". With the men being away at war more people had to pitch in at the factories so the African americans as well as women enter the work force buliding tanks, airplanes, guns, trucks, and ammo.
The fashion during the war was not pretty to look at. They wore dulls browns adn ivorys. They had fur coats during the war that were made of rabbit fur but dyed to make it look like beaver or mink fur. It took the U.S awhile to bounce back in the clothing industries after the war but sports wear becoame pouplar after the war.
